Located in Genting Highlands First World Plaza, the Steam Era Seafood restaurant offers piping hot Chinese food perfect for the cold. At 8,000sqft, the designers created a welcoming yet elegant space interpreting Chinese motifs in a contemporary way.
Vertical timber posts mimic bamboo, walls are accented in a jade hue with special effect paint and geometric motif wall panels convey the desired effect. Bird sculptures hang overhead so diners feel like they are in a stylised interpretation of a Chinese countryside. To solve the challenge of a split level, a ramp was created, thus creating different “landscape” views.
